Setting out on the Alaskan road trip!

Lindsey and I set out on our road trip Thursday...it's hard to believe that the time has finally come to start driving away from Northern Alaska! We left Fairbanks and drove to Denali, where we spent the afternoon driving through the park. The scenery was beautiful, and although we didn't see much wildlife, we did come across a giant moose standing in the middle of the road. As we continued on to our destination for the night, which was Talkeetna, AK, we got to see some amazing views of Mt. McKinley. We stayed at a cute little place in Talkeetna called The Roadhouse, and we enjoyed some "Mountain High Pizza Pie" for dinner. On Friday we got up and drove into Anchorage, where we walked around the city for a while and did some much needed shopping (just looking, of course, not buying :)). We drove back to Wasilla later in the day and met up with Sadie (from Coldfoot). The past few days Lindsey and I have stayed at Sadie's, where her and Justin have shown us how to live it up Wasilla style. The trip starts up again tomorrow, I will keep everyone posted with new pics!!!
